Mr. Lu Fei is a doctor, researcher and supervisor of doctoral students.
He received his master's degree in Biotechnology from Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University in 1999, where he was engaged in bioinformatics, population genetics and quantitative genetics research.
He received his master's degree in genetics in 2005. He received his M.S. degree in genetics in 2005, and then entered the Institute of Genetics and Development of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IGD) for his Ph.D. degree.
Received PhD degree in genetics in 2010 and was selected as one of the 100 best graduates of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
From 2010 to 2014, she was a postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University, and from 2014 to 2017, she was a research assistant at Cornell University.
He was a research assistant at Cornell University from 2014 to 2017, where he conducted research on quantitative genetics and functional genomics of maize, cassava, and other energy crops. His papers have been published in Nature Genetics, Nature Communications, Plos Genetics, and Nature Genetics.
In 2017, he was selected as one of the 'Young Thousand Talents' by the Central Organization Department of China and returned to China as a researcher at the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences."

I'm just updating the progress of this thread to include any possible Chinese operatives who would've been in close contact with the school's computer science departments. It will yield many more results, but also paints a much more accurate...and disturbing...picture.

The Network SystEm Security & PrivAcy Lab (NESA Lab) of Zhejiang University is based on the interdisciplinary scientific fields of information security, artificial intelligence, data analysis and network systems, and is committed to researching related basic theories, key technologies and application systems .
The head of the laboratory is researcher Ji Shouling, who was selected by the National Youth Talents Program...
...The laboratory undertakes a number of national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, including key projects and surface projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, key pre-research projects, national key research and development plan projects (subjects), outstanding youth projects in Zhejiang Province, and key research and development plans in Zhejiang Province items etc. At the same time, the laboratory has in-depth and good cooperative relations with many companies, including Alibaba, Ant Financial, Tencent, Huawei, NSFOCUS, Venustech, and many systems developed by Alibaba, Alibaba Cloud, IBM, Huawei and other companies have been applied .
The laboratory has excellent international cooperative relations, and has many professors/researchers with Princeton University, Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Illinois-Champaign, University of Virginia, Pennsylvania State University, University of Sydney, National University of Singapore, IBM T. J.
